MOBILE, Ala-The University of Mobile men's soccer team fell behind early, but rallied for a 3-1 victory over Thomas University at home Saturday evening. The win gives Mobile back-to-back victories for the first time in 2008.

Thomas opened the scoring just 3 minutes into the action when Jonah Mukada took a feed in the box and then went far post for the 1-0 edge.

But, the Rams rebounded by controlling the tempo the rest of the way and making good use of a pair of corner kicks. In the 28th minute, Cedric Carrie knotted the game at 1-1 when he knocked home a rebound from David DeLotelle's shot. Ruben Diaz's corner kick started the sequence of events.

The score stayed that way until intermission, but the Rams wasted little time in taking the lead in half number two, striking just 3 minutes into the second period when David Maddren's corner ricocheted into the goal off the Thomas keeper.

From there, Mobile kept bringing the heat, finishing with a 23-5 edge in shots, until Carrie added some breathing room in the 71st minute when he blasted a goal from about 20 yards out.

Mobile (5-4-2) next plays at home Saturday, October 11th at 7:00 pm when Mid-Continent comes to town.
