Jackson, MS-The Belhaven women's soccer team snapped a two game losing Saturday afternoon defeating Shorter College 1-0. Belhaven improves their record to 7-3 on the season with the victory over the Lady Hawks who are also now 7-3.
Dana Sullivan scored the only goal of the game in the 40th minute to secure the win for Belhaven. It was Sullivan's sixth goal of the season. Goalkeeper Kristin Parson picked up her eighth win of the season in net for the Lady Blazers.
Belhaven will host Spring Hill College on Thursday night as they return to action in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference play. The match is set to begin at 7 at H.T. Newell Field
